I posted this at my Flickr page as "Kingdom of the Alloy Skull", note the resemblance:

(3B6-RA-7 droid from A New Hope, if anyone's curious).

As well, brand new Mutt photos at TheRaider.

And another fancy Indy item spotted right here in my town, which is also Lucasfilm's town.

Asps, very dangerous, you go first.

It's true, Boogerhead, and the seaplane on which Indy & pilot escape the Hovitos (technically "Jobitos") is registered C3PO.

You know the name of the tribe from Raiders' opening sequence? And it's technical spelling? Why, why... you're one of those...(notices for the first time that MetroDe's avatar is C3PO)... fan-types!

[froths] Jesus, man! It's R2-D2, not C-3PO! I can't--

[looks around]

Ah. Um, nothing to see here. Carry on.

These aren't the droids you're looking for.

Move along. Move along.

(Careful, possible SPOILERS beyond this point).

New news. (Image gallery).

The teaser trailer can't have been the only trailer planned -- right? colin, UberDog?

Normally, they would release another trailer. I expect to see an extended one after April 22-30ish. A month lead time to get the word out. Although, it may be that they just use the same one so as not to divulge much more. It's only, what, 37 days away? I can wait for the real thing.

Those pics looked pretty great, though I remain unconvinced about Mutt's character.

That dos look a lot like the Crystal Skull. One wonders if the aliens from Close Encounters will show up as well.

Let us not foret that C3PO and R2D2 were depicted in hieroglyphics in the Well of Souls and then there's Club Obi Wan in Temple of Doom...

Oh, I see Boog already mentioned the droids bit.

But did he know Pat Roach is the only other actor besides Ford to appear in all three films?

Plus being Hephaestus in Clash of the Titans and General Kael in Willow?

He has since died, alas.

Oh, and ET's in, I think, Revenge of the Dish.

Thatss where the saucer people admitted they stole George's ability to edit himself.

As if you didn't have it counting down precisely by the hour in your head.

Bad, George!

But the WGA decides who gets script credit, not the directors or producers. They could submit his names I suppose, but the other writers involved could refute the claim. Could turn into a big mess. Anyway, he likely made 500K plus "wasting his year."

I will see it the first showing there is.

And likely many more times after to relieve my childhood when I saw the first one about 15 times in the theaters.

OK. I stumbled into the Indy Jones trailer again backstepping into the theme music video for The Dewey Cox Story. (The song is written by Marshall Crenshaw and that's more than good enough for me.)

My take on the dreaded CGI effect: of COURSE it looks cheesy when you jump-cut into it from a string of gritty live-action stunts and scenes. Of course!

But we'll get eased into it, and about that time we'll be doing the adrenalin dance with our legs crossed so's not to pee our pants, and it'll look SWELL.

Hush, little babies, don't say a word, Spielberg's gonna make Lucas curb his nerd...

Everyone knows that. It's knowing that the temple is that of Chachapoyan Warriors (never said in the film) that ups the geek ante to two memory cards and a flash drive with Jennifer Love Hewitt slow mo swimming scenes.
