Ghost Hunters to track down the unexplained at Wright-Patterson
Pathetic crap. The USAF believes in ghosts... Next thing they'll be asking for a few billions for anti ghosts programs and such. |

That's where they brought the dead aliens and the Roswell wreckage!
Are they going to see alien ghosts? That'd be hip! I don't know that this means the USAF believes in ghosts, just that they like some PR that doesn't relate to Iraq. This bit suggests their motives are other than ghost hunting: "Ghost Hunters is immensely popular with a wide national demographic, including the recruiting-age audience our Air Force is trying to reach," said Derek Kaufman, a public affairs specialist with the 88th Air Base Wing. "We hope to share a little bit about Wright-Patterson's history and missions with viewers during the show -- and perhaps explain some unusual occurrences along the way." --- "I knew their tastes were very different and because the french like Dick a lot." -W.G. |

Kids at school talk about this program, how everyone in the family sits down and eats dinner there in front of the TV, Ghost Hunters and something called Dirty Jobs?
That's a bit disheartening Contrite Pup, that this is a target audience for the military. "Oh sweet suspension of disbelief where hast thout flown?". The Past is a foreign country; they do things differently there. L.P Hartley's The Go Between |

Well, it makes sense: Prospective Recruit: "But I might get killed in Iraq." Recruiter: "But you'll come back as a cool ghost and you can peep on nekkid girls." Prospective Recruit: "W00t! Sign me up!" --- "I knew their tastes were very different and because the french like Dick a lot." -W.G. |

No, no, no… you’re coming at this with the wrong cynicism. The Air Force was probably so happy to be dealing with investigators who weren’t sniffing for a scandal that the conversation went something like this: “Hello, Wright Patterson public affairs office. How may I direct your call?†“Yes, we’d like to do an investigation into certain events at your base.†“Shit. OK, let me get the boss, but until I get a press release approved our official position is…†“Actually, we wanted to investigate the reports that the dorm is haunted.†“Wait, ghosts? That’s it?†“Yep. Ghosts. Also, we’d like to air a presentation about your base during prime time on a cable network.†“What time is good for you?†|

"We didn't find any ghosts."
"Really. The, er, six nuclear warheads we're using as a coffee table in the cafeteria didn't, uh, they...didn't bother you?" "What?" "Nothing." The Lithos School of Curiousity is now enrolling |

I still maintain that the gay bomb was a great idea. "Surrender and you will be given food and shelter" has nothing on "surrender, or we'll show everyone the predator feed of you fucking the platoon sergeant." |

>>. "Surrender and you will be given food and shelter"
I hope it came with text. Having read what you said it was about, I'm still having trouble figuring it out. |

Being an Aussie, a member of the "Coalition of Teh Willing" I for one am scared shitless of such a bomb given the US's reputation for blue-on-blue contact. No pun intended. The Lithos School of Curiousity is now enrolling |

They already use parachutes, so why can't they use paranormals too? |
