Electronic tattoo display runs on blood by Lisa Zyga

Jim Mielke's wireless blood-fueled display is a true merging of technology and body art. At the recent Greener Gadgets Design Competition, the engineer demonstrated a subcutaneously implanted touch-screen that operates as a cell phone display, with the potential for 3G video calls that are visible just underneath the skin. -------------
They made a machine that runs on human blood. Human blood. Jesus titty-fucking Christ, has none of these people ever read a single Sci-Fi story? Machines are getting smarter every day, and these assholes just gave them a taste for our flesh. Nice job there. The military may be making killer death robots, but at least they didn't go ahead and name any of them "SkyNet."
Holy shit. What would happen if you had one and began getting wrinkles on your arm? Problems dialing? This is assuming that your body doesn't reject the device or die from multiple tumors first.

I was unclear on this, was the whole thing a concept or did he really implant something in his arm and if he did was it just a non-working prototype or did it actually function?
Great first post though.
