Starbucks is shutting down shops in saturated markets, for the first time in history.

(should be a cite but I don't remember where I heard/read it a few days ago)

The part of West London where I live has just had another Starbucks open - a big branch, which is within 60 seconds of another, smaller branch, and about 4 minutes walk from two further branches!

Sorry, conspiracy theorists.

That line alone will ensure teh theorists keep busy.

As you walk into the 4th ave entrance of the Columbia tower in Seattle, Wa., You'll notice a thriving new Starbucks. As you exit the elevator onto the 40th floor "Skylobby" you'll also notice a thriving, new Starbucks.

Two in the same building.

There's a mall up the street, "Pacific Place" that used to have four. One on every floor.

And their coffee is shite!

The market can only bear so much oversaturation before the inevitable backlash. They just closed 600 stores last month, so it's coming fast.

Can't wait.

Yeah, cause they're not quite literate enough to read the line that says the water main was burst and the sprinklers failed.

Sigh.

Not to mention that only a few skyscrapers have ever been doused in a full tank of aviation fuel.

Aha, but my comment above was made before having read the article, and I am now convinced that Elvis did indeed fire the three shots that brought down WTC 7.

Amateurs!

Everyone knows it was the triple overpass. That grassy knoll business was merely a decoy.

Your seem intelligent theminx, do you believe the NIST? Do you believe that insufficient water cooling in WTC7 lead to complete and simultaneous structural failure?
Do you believe that a steel structured building with isolated, non-water suppressed, floor fires can simultaneously fail and symmetrically fall straight into the buildings footprint because of non-core, non-structural, heat damage?

I have a lot of faith in the integrity of the engineering community, particularly the fire protection engineering community, of which I am a minuscule part.
