[blinks wide eyes]

It's like...it's like...Finnegan's Wake written by Kevin Mitnick with a graduate degree in deconstruction theory.

It's fanfuckingtastic, in other words.

Consistent with the fractured narrative logic of dreams, everything anyone spoke I could "see" with brackets, underscores, slashes, and vertical rules peppering the text. Soon enough we (don't ask who "we" were) were all discussing mezangelle in mezangelle, going over possible interpretations, and the dream-environment was awash in characters.

I don't pretend to read it easily; as a matter of fact, it takes me a while to parse all but the simplest statements, and even then I can only guess at the intended meanings. Of course, intended meaning is not always necessarily important to the viewer/reader's interpretation, and certainly not important to her/his enjoyment.

Yeah, what Pauline said. I forgot to add, in my last post, that the dream was puzzling, convoluted, and incredibly enjoyable.

It does make me wonder what it would be like to talk to mez in "real life" though...

I really want to hear her read. Not sure I have a compatible sound card and/or software, though.

I used to do the net.artist poetry thing. Sometime around when I discovered e.e. cummings and bbs.

I like the graphical/hover/hold element to mez's stuff. For those who haven't, check out her websites.

Thanks for the revised FAQ, madam. Ca me plait.
